Art of Cornwall

The area has a long history of artistic production, with a strong tradition of painting, sculpture, and crafts. Many Cornish artists have been inspired by the region's rugged landscapes, coastal scenery, and industrial heritage.

The art of Cornwall can be divided in two main schools that had a significant impact on the development of British art. you can read more about both schools in the following links.

The work of William Black denotes a great curiosity for the world around him and a rich inner world reflected by mythical creatures and symbolism.
